JR Language is thrilled to partake in this year’s C3 Summit, a US Arab Global event, on the 7th of October.  The event takes place in New York City, and will be the second event of its kind.

The objective of the Summit, as stated on their website, is to create “an exclusive event dedicated to building new relationships, fostering existing partnerships and exchanging best practices between the U.S and the Arab world” guided by the following three principles:

  • Community: create a global platform for exchanging “best practices”
  • Collaboration: promote dialogue and grow existing relationships
  • Commerce: facilitate new ventures and opportunities

Organizations that will be in attendance span from a wide range of industries from Oil & Gas, Energy and Infrastructure, to Media & Entertainment and Fashion.  The Summit is an engaging seminar in successful global business conduct and offers incredible learning and networking opportunities that are sure to be beneficial to us, and to all attending organizations.

C3 Summit of 2012

The first C3 Summit conference was held last year in September, and the turnout was phenomenal.  A total of 10 Arab countries were present at the conference.  There were 400 registered attendees that included Ambassadors, Ministers of government, and members of the private sector.  Featured speakers included a total of 82 business big-names, with a special speech from keynote speaker- former President Clinton.  Themes of discussion weighed heavily on economic and financial growth in Arab countries.  Opportunities for growth were discussed during the summit.  One suggestion called for economic diversification in the Arab world, so that it is not only based in oil and natural resources.  Another important subject of discussion was job creation, particularly through entrepreneurship.

C3 Summit of 2013

This year’s Summit will see attendance from over 50 organizations.  Topics to be presented during the conference will have emphasis on Global trade, Security, Cross-Border/International Commerce and Women’s Rights in the current Islamic World.  Discussions that deal directly with U.S and Arab business relationships will also be held in hopes of identifying growth and investment opportunities among both nations.  The Summit of 2013 will be graced by the presence and presentations of major players in global business as well as in government, with a special presentation from keynote speaker Wael Fakharany- Regional Director of Google in Egypt and North Africa.

As a translation company that communicates internationally in our daily business conduct, JR Language Translation Services knows firsthand the importance of facilitating effective communication between the U.S and the Arab world.  We are honored to be a part of the C3 Summit’s Arab Global Event, and we look forward to learning more about creating and strengthening our relationship with our potential and existing Arab clients and vendors.
